He completed his Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies at the University of Georgia in 2022. Alfonso has experience teaching all levels of Spanish at the university level. His research interests focus on 20th and 21st-Century Latin American Literatures and Cultures, Politics, Historical Memory, and Cultural Studies in Latin America. In addition to being a devoted educator, he enjoys reading, walking, cooking, and watching the almighty Messi play soccer every weekend.
