Bachelor of Arts in Sociology

A Bachelor of Arts in Sociology provides a broad foundation that prepares our graduates for further studies in the discipline and related fields, successful careers in diverse settings, and thoughtful and effective involvement in their communities. The sociology major at UAH emphasizes the development of both academic and applied skills that can be useful in a wide range of industries and organizations.

The culminating experience of our program is the SOC 495 Senior Capstone Seminar, in which senior sociology majors have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in their program of study.
