About Rachel

What made you want to be an Admissions Counselor?

I wanted to be an Admissions Counselor to assist students in making the difficult decision of where to attend college. I enjoy working with prospective students as they navigate the admissions process, identify their potential majors, explore campus life, and look to the future!

I also absolutely love meeting new people, hearing their unique stories, and helping students fulfill their personal, professional, and academic goals. My own college experience was incredible, and I want others to feel the same way about this time in their life.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking, watching anything/everything Netflix has to offer, twirling the baton, listening to music, and spending time with our new dog, Ollie!

What advice would you give students who are in the college search process?

I would encourage students to enjoy the process, and to realize they ultimately have the power to choose their college experience. It is important to research and gather information about perspective colleges, but it is equally important to spend time on self-discovery. Students should form a vision of what they expect from their college experience, and then begin to narrow their choices down to fit that vision.
