Emerging Leaders is a welcoming program designed specifically for first-year students who want to get involved, connect with others, and grow as individuals and leaders.

Full Emerging Leaders Cohort of the 2025 to 2026 academic yearThrough bi-weekly Monday sessions, you'll explore what leadership really means—backed by research, made personal through reflection, and put into action through involvement on campus. Along the way, you’ll build friendships within your cohort, participate in service and social events, and get to know the many opportunities available to you here at UAH.

Whether you’re stepping into leadership for the first time or seeking to deepen your skills, this program offers a purposeful, community-driven way to grow.

Participants in Emerging Leaders also benefit from opportunities beyond our regular sessions. Through Networking Hours with industry professionals and collaborations with Registered Student Organizations, students gain a well-rounded leadership education designed to support them throughout their college journey and long after graduation.
