The exam for insurance producers' and adjusters' licenses is given by computer at proctored locations around the state of Alabama. You must complete an accredited prelicensing course of study for the lines of authority desired before taking any examination. Test Dates and Registration Registration is available on the Alabama State Department of Insurance Exam site. The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers the following exam dates: Every Tuesday at 1:00pm Every Wednesday at 5:00pm Test Day Information Bring a notarized copy of your prelicensing course Certificate of Completion. Pencils, scratch paper and a calculator will be provided for you. Arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled exam time: Provide your vehicle's license plate number to receive a parking permit in Wilson Hall, Room 214.
