Join us for the HEL Optics Metrology Workshop at UAH.
Connect with fellow stakeholders in the optics for HEL (High-Energy Laser) community and contribute to the advancement of metrology processes and technologies. Together, we will focus on optimizing the deployment of HEL Defense Weapon Systems to achieve a new level of effectiveness.
Participants will earn 1.4 CEUs (14 professional development hours).
Workshop Goals:
- Survey the current landscape: Examine the current state of the HEL Optics Metrology Enterprise from substrate generation, to surface figuring, to coating.
- Identify improvement opportunities: Pinpoint areas that demand improvements and discuss possible solutions.
- Forge a unified path: Devise strategies to develop a common path that spans across DoD, government labs, industry and academia.
- Progress together: Collaborate with stakeholders and explore opportunities to join forces to drive common goals.
