The University of Alabama in Huntsville's (UAH) annual Harvest Dinner will be Monday, Nov. 13, at the Charger Café on campus.
The Harvest Dinner is a way for the university community to provide a traditional American style Thanksgiving meal to students and the UAH community, who may not be able to have a holiday meal with their families. The dinner is co-hosted by UAH Housing, the Registrar's Office and the Office of International Engagement.
This year's dinner will be from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. What used to be a home-cooked meal for a few students has turned into a major university tradition. A dedicated team of volunteers prepare dinner for approximately 500 people.
UAH retiree Reva Bailey coordinated the first Harvest Dinner nearly 30 years ago. She retired in 2000 from her full-time position as registrar and international advisor.
