Residence Hall Association (RHA) RHA is a department-sponsored student organization dedicated to providing diverse social, educational, and philanthropic programs within the residence halls. They also recognize leaders in the community and look for ways to improve the experience of living on campus. RHA also provides residents with the opportunity to attend state, regional, and national leadership conferences where students can connect and learn from their peers at other institutions. These conferences allow UAH students to grow as leaders and bring back exciting new ideas to campus. All residents are welcome to join and participate in RHA. RHA has hall reps for each community, which is a great way for first year residents to get involved. RHA raises funds for their efforts via the care packages and linens sold via OCM. Work for Housing and Residence Life Our department is the largest employer of student staff at UAH. We have the following positions: Desk Assistants are responsible for monitoring guests and safety at our lobbies and front desks in the community. All residents are eligible to apply for this position when posted. Mail Assistants are responsible for handling packages and letter mail in the mailroom for all on campus residents. All undergraduate residents are eligible to apply for this position when posted. Resident Assistants are responsible for supporting residents as they navigate the on campus experience. This includes programming, campus referrals, health & safety checks, and assisting in the move in and move out of residents. Students are eligible to apply to be a resident assistant after living on campus for 1 year.
