What Students Can Expect 12-Credit Hour Certificate Program: Complete four courses, including three core classes and a Gulf Impact Project, along with 30 hours of service learning. Learn more Hands-On Learning: Participate in fieldwork, internships, and impact projects that address real-world problems affecting Gulf communities. Workshops & Mentorship: Engage in annual workshops on holistic learning, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and data science. Work with faculty and community mentors to design and implement your Gulf Impact Project. Leadership Development: Build leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills through coursework, presentations, and campus-wide outreach. Financial Support Tuition support will be provided for the 12 credit hours when enrollment in the certificate courses results in an increase in tuition under the university’s block tuition policy. $1,000 to fund the Gulf Impact Project. Additional funds are available for travel, conference participation, and student awards. Who Should Apply?
