What Students Can Expect
12-Credit Hour Certificate Program:
Complete four courses, including three core classes and a Gulf Impact Project, along with 30 hours of service learning.
Hands-On Learning:
Participate in fieldwork, internships, and impact projects that address real-world problems affecting Gulf communities.
Workshops & Mentorship:
Engage in annual workshops on holistic learning, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and data science. Work with faculty and community mentors to design and implement your Gulf Impact Project.
Leadership Development:
Build leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills through coursework, presentations, and campus-wide outreach.
Financial Support
- Tuition support will be provided for the 12 credit hours when enrollment in the certificate courses results in an increase in tuition under the university’s block tuition policy.
- $1,000 to fund the Gulf Impact Project.
- Additional funds are available for travel, conference participation, and student awards.
