Support and Naming Opportunities

Deanship - $2,500,000

Provides perpetual financial support for salary, benefits, research space, special projects, programming, and other areas of greatest need.

Chair - $1,000,000

Used to attract and retain nationally or internationally recognized scholars or researchers by providing salary supplement and fringe benefits for the recipient of the chair, for support staff, or for other expenses as the endowment agreement permits.

Professorship - $500,000

Used to support the salary or work of the holder, who may also use the honorary title associated with the professorship. A professorship has a similar structure to a chair but provides a lower level of support.

Faculty Fellowship - $100,000

Provides support to a faculty member as they strive to fulfill the academic requirements in their fields of expertise.

Research Fund - $100,000

Used to support research in a discipline, disease, or area of interest as stipulated in an agreement with the donor.

Lectureship - $75,000

Used to bring a distinguished scholar to UAH each year to lecture on a particular subject or in a specific discipline.

Scholarship - $25,000

Used to provide financial assistance including tuition, fees, books, supplies, and other living expenses to students who meet specified criteria.

Program Support Fund - $25,000

Used to advance the on-going operations of a specific program designated by the donor.

Library Fund - $10,000

Provides books, periodicals, or resources for the UAH Library in perpetuity.

Award Fund - $10,000

Provides funding for academic awards, one-time achievement grants, or similar activities which recognize outstanding performance or achievement.
