The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is pleased to offer multiple sessions of engineering summer day camps for students in grades 5 through 10. Changing the world is what engineers do - by solving problems with innovation and creativity, and by applying science and technology principles. At UAH, our engineering summer camp programs are designed to introduce students to different engineering fields with classroom learning, hands-on projects, mentoring activities, tours, and much more. APPLY FOR CAMP: Registrations for the 2026 Summer Engineering Programs will open in February 2026.A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. Please note that submitting a deposit without a completed registration form will not reserve a spot for your student. The remaining balance must be paid at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the program. Registration is confirmed only once full payment is received. Once a program reaches capacity, the registration link will automatically switch to a waitlist form. A deposit is not required to join the waitlist. Fee: $200* (Includes all camp materials, camp t-shirt, and snacks daily) Time: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Date: June 1-5, 2026 Discovery: Rising 5-6 Grade In this week-long, full-day engineering program, participants will experience hands-on activities, classroom learning, lab tours, and more! Fee: $450* (Includes all camp materials, camp t-shirt, lunch, and snacks daily) Time: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Dates: A: June 15-19, 2026 (Camp will be offered on June 19th) B: July 6-10, 2026 C: July 20-24, 2026 NOTE: The Discovery camp is offered three times during the summer. There are no differences in the camp curriculum between these three weeks. Exploration: Rising 7-8 Grade Our week-long, full-day engineering program includes hands-on activities, classroom learning, lab tours, a culminating design project, mentoring opportunities, and more! Fee: $450* (Includes all camp materials, camp t-shirt, lunch, and snacks daily) Time: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Dates: A: June 22-26, 2026 B: July 6-10, 2026 C: July 13-17, 2026 NOTE: The Exploration camp is offered three times during the summer. There are no differences in the camp curriculum between these three weeks. Innovation: Rising 9-10 Grade Our week-long, full-day engineering program includes hands-on activities, classroom learning, lab tours, a culminating design project, mentoring opportunities, college preparation, and more! Fee: $450* (Includes all camp materials, camp t-shirt, lunch, and snacks daily) Time: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Dates: A: June 22-26, 2026 B: July 13-17, 2026 NOTE: The Innovation camp is offered twice during the summer. There are no differences in the camp curriculum between these two weeks. We currently do not offer any programs for the rising 11th- 12th grade age group. *Scholarships based on financial need are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered for a scholarship (covering up to 75% of the camp fee), please indicate your interest in the camp application and complete the supplementary financial need questions. Once accepted into the camp, payment is required within 5 days to secure your place. Although we aim to meet as many scholarship requests as possible, we may not be able to accommodate all.
