The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) is an independent credentialing organization that has tested healthcare professionals and instructors throughout the United States since 1989. NCCT provides multiple qualifying paths for certification in the following roles: Medical Assistants Medical Office Assistants Insurance & Coding Specialists ECG TechniciansPhlebotomy Technicians Patient Care Technicians Postsecondary Instructors Surgical Technologists For information on prelicensing course requirements and additional details, see the National Center for Competency Testing website. Exams are proctored by UAH Testing and Certification Services. Exam may be computer-delivered or paper and pencil. Test Dates and Registration For available testing dates, see the National Center for Competency Testing website. There are two fees associated with the NCCT exam: The exam fee paid to the National Center for Competency Testing website A $40 administration fee paid to UAH. To register and pay your NCCT exam fee, visit the NCCT website. To schedule an appointment and pay your UAH administration fee ($40), you must first register with NCCT then REGISTER ONLINE with UAH Testing and Certification Services. Your administration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Test Day Information Bring approved identification. Arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled exam time: Provide your vehicle's license plate number to receive a parking permit in Wilson Hall, Room 214.
