CLEP allows you to earn college credit for what you already know. CLEP offers 34 exams in five subject areas, covering material taught in courses that you may generally take in your first two years of college. By passing a CLEP exam, you can earn 3 or more college credits. It is a computer-based test. Examinees are advised to contact specific departments within their colleges and universities regarding CLEP acceptance policies before registering for any exam. Test Dates and Registration The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers the following CLEP exam times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30am Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30pm There are two fees associated with the CLEP exam: $95 exam fee paid to CLEP $40 administration fee paid to UAH. To register and pay your CLEP exam fee ($95), visit the CLEP website. CLEP registration tickets are valid for six months from the date of purchase. To schedule an appointment and pay your UAH administration fee ($40), you must first register with CLEP then REGISTER ONLINE with UAH Testing and Certification Services. Your administration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Once both registrations are completed, you will be contacted by UAH Testing and Certification Services to set up a convenient test date and time. A wait of 3 months is required before retesting. Test Day Information Bring your valid registration ticket. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID which includes your name, signature and a recognizable photograph. Arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled exam time: Provide your vehicle's license plate number to receive a parking permit in Wilson Hall, Room 214.
