The ACT is a national college admission examination that measures what a student has learned in school. It is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors and consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and an optional Writing Test. Check directly with the colleges you are considering to determine if the Writing Test is required for admission. It is a pencil and paper test. ACT permits examinees to use a calculator for the Mathematics Test but not on any of the other tests. Use of a calculator is optional. Arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled exam time: Provide your vehicle's license plate number to receive a parking permit in Wilson Hall, Room 214.
