SHIELD DRIVE Science Center The SHIELD DRIVE Science Center is a collaborative research center developing a predictive global model of the heliosphere: the immense shield protecting the solar system from the harsh galactic radiation which affects both life on Earth and human space exploration. This multi-institutional effort is headquartered at Boston University and has co-investigators and collaborators across a dozen other institutions.
