Holding a Master of Science in Human Resources Management, Katie is a seasoned professional in higher education and a dedicated advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). They are a subject matter expert in creating inclusive environments, infusing DEI principles into comprehensive orientation and employee programs. Katie extends their impact through dynamic training, workshops, and retreats locally and nationally. Additionally, they are a proud member of the Society for Diversity and the National Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention (NODA). Beyond their university role, Katie serves as a valuable member of the national planning committee for the IMPACT Conference and on the Board of Directors as the ADEI Chair for Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theatre & Academy. In their free time, Katie enjoys spending time with their dog Banner, roller skating with Rocket City Roller Derby, and hiking all over the Tennessee Valley.
