Fathia Hardy Director of Outreach and Support Services, UAH College of Professional Studies Part-Time Faculty, UAH Contact 301 Sparkman DriveHuntsville, AL 35899 Campus Map Biography Fathia Hardy (she/her/hers) has over ten years of broad-based experience in leadership, management, planning, and training. Ms. Hardy is the Director of Outreach and Support Services at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and is also a part-time instructor. She has served the UAH community for the last nine years. Ms. Hardy has provided training for nonprofits, local, federal, and state government institutions, and companies. The unit she manages, Outreach and Support Services, supports conferences and specialized credit/noncredit programs with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC), professional and community associations, and academia. She also offers logistics and managerial support to other units within the college, including; Professional Development Solutions, which provides specialized executive training to the on and off-campus community; Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program, which provides adults age 50+ courses and special events for the pure enjoyment of learning; Testing and Certification Services, which administers undergraduate and graduate admissions tests, professional certification tests, and other tests to the Greater Huntsville Community; and the Instructional Testing Center, which provides test administration and assessment services for UAH faculty and students. In addition to her regular duties, she is a past President of the UAH Staff Senate, former Advisor and Coach to the UAH Dance Team, and serves on numerous UAH committees. Ms. Hardy also is a graduate of Connect Class 23 with Leadership Greater Huntsville. This program provides extensive leadership training over the course of 10 months. She also serves her community as a Board Member, ADEI chair, and Secretary for the Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre and Academy. Ms. Hardy has provided administrative support to the Senior Logistician Advanced Course, a program developed in collaboration with the Department of the Army, G-4, since its inception in July 2017. She has developed a three-hour undergraduate course, in collaboration with the UAH College of Science, for graduates of the Advanced Space Academy® at the USSRC. In addition, she has developed and taught FYE101G: First Year Experience online for three years. In addition to course development, Ms. Hardy has planned and managed several conferences, including the National Cyber Summit; Southern Regional Conference for Learning in Retirement; Conference on Systems Engineering Research; UA System Scholar’s Institute; NASA Human Space Flight Forum; and regional and national conferences/events with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Before her career at UAH, Ms. Hardy worked at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center; Woodrow Hall in Birmingham, AL; and the American Lung Association in Cincinnati, OH. Ms. Hardy is a native of Birmingham, AL, but resides in Madison, AL, with her two beautiful children, Malik and Farrah Starr.
