Biography

Kathryne Bellingrath is a Laser-Material Interaction Support Research Assistant I (S3) in the
Center for Applied Optics. Kathryne is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Minor in
Chemistry and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2025. After which, she plans to earn a
Master’s degree in Materials Science.

She is also the Founder and President of The Volunteer-Based Recycling Program (VBR), a Registered Student Organization focused on filling the recycling gap on campus.
