On April 5, Tyler Berry was awarded the Business Leadership Award at the College of Business’ Honors Day.

Berry expressed that accepting the award was “such an honor,” and made him feel like his hard work is beginning to make a lasting impact in the College of Business. He explained that he wanted to make an immediate impact on the university after enrolling in the fall of 2019, and although the COVID-19 pandemic affected some of his plans and he is now a junior, his goal is to continue working hard in the College of Business.

Speaking about his experience in the college, Berry highlighted the connections he has made thanks to professors and advisors. Berry explained, “[Staff connections] have allowed me to meet many business leaders within the city of Huntsville and improved my communication skills … I am grateful to have such caring professors that I know I can approach with any questions about my future.”

Berry is pursuing a double major in supply chain management and human resource management, and he has had the opportunity to apply his studies with PDC Brands as a supply chain intern. He mentioned that he has gained experience in processes related to supply chain management which he considers valuable for his future. “It has been a great experience so far and I can’t wait to see what else in store for me,” he commented.

After graduating, Berry plans to search for a company where he would like to work in a full time supply chain position. He is also managing his own business, Amore Clothing Brand, which he wants to continue growing. Speaking about his plans, he said, “I will be able to utilize the knowledge that I have learned in supply chain to work full time for my business.”
