To create a more consistent and secure experience, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is integrating UAH Google accounts with the university’s central Single Sign-On (SSO) page and Duo MFA.
This update will be performed in phases for all accounts:
- UAH Faculty & Emeriti: Wednesday, October 22
- Students: Nov. 5, 2025
- Other (entities, etc.): Nov. 19, 2025
After your group’s transition date, you may not automatically be prompted to log into Google due to the lengthy timeout setting. The next time you are, the prompt will be SSO prompt instead of the Google login page. While your password will not change for this transition, the new process is consistent with other university applications.
One-Time Confirmation: The very first time you log into Google with SSO, you may see a prompt to confirm your identity. Simply click Continue or Confirm to link your account.
Action Required: If you use an application like Outlook, Apple Mail, or a smartphone mail app, you may need to remove and re-add your account after your transition date to continue receiving email.
