The Air, Space, and Missile Defense Association (ASMDA) is seeking applications for 16 scholarships to the U.S. Cyber Academy at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The Cyber Academy will be held from Sunday, June 1, 2025 through Friday, June 6, 2025. The scholarship includes one week at the U.S. Cyber Academy, a daily class t-shirt, and a $25 wristband stipend.
The one-week Cyber Academy is built on the Space Camp model.
The deadline for submitting the ASMDA Cyber Academy Scholarship Application has been extended to February 28, 2025.
Eligibility:
UAH is a member of ASMDA; as such, UAH employees' family members (as outlined above) are eligible for the scholarship.
Any child or grandchild, age 12-14 years old, of a parent, grandparent, or guardian currently associated with ASMDA through personal membership, membership of an employer, or ASMDA supported government organizations is eligible for the scholarship. ASMDA supported government organizations include: SMDC, JFCC IMD, PEO-M&S, AMCOM, CCDC AvMC, MSIC, NASA Marshall, CFTs APNT, AMD & MDA, FBI and the City of Huntsville.
Military and government personnel must apply for free membership to ASMDA to be eligible. Children of the contractor work force that supports ASMDA supported government organizations may also apply for the cyber academy scholarship. If the parents work for an industry organization that is not a corporate member of ASMDA they can become eligible for the scholarship if their parents will go to the ASMDA website and sign up for an individual membership. The cost for an individual membership is $10.
