The Chargers posted an impressive 2023-24 season, both on and off the field. UAH saw its student-athletes accrue 49 all-conference awards in addition to 315 Chargers being named to the conference Honor Roll. The department also saw seven of its programs compete in the NCAA postseason, including men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men’s basketball, men’s indoor track & field, softball, men’s outdoor track & field and women’s outdoor track & field.

CROSS-COUNTRY: The men’s and women’s cross country seasons are highlighted by two meets at John Hunt Park, leading off with the UAH Chargers Invitational on October 12. In addition, UAH and the Huntsville Sports Commission will also host the 2024 NCAA South Region Championships at John Hunt Park on November 9.
SOCCER: Women’s soccer kicks off on September 5, when the Chargers host McKendree at Charger Park. The men’s soccer team will visit Florida Southern for their first game on September 6. Admission is free to all UAH soccer regular season home games, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
VOLLEYBALL: Women’s volleyball will begin their season on the road, taking part in the Ray Thrasher Volleyball Classic at Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tennessee, September 6-7. The Chargers will then bring it home, hosting the UAH Invitational on September 12-14 at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. Admission is free to all UAH volleyball regular season home games, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Chargers are hard at work preparing for winter sports as well. The Charger Tip-Off (Saturday, September 21, at 8 p.m.) at Spragins Hall will preview the men's and women's basketball seasons, before both tip off on November 8. Hoops season ticket information will be available soon on UAHChargers.com. Men’s and women’s track starts its indoor campaign in early January, while baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s lacrosse will officially begin their seasons in February 2025.
SAVE THE DATE: Athletics HOF Ceremony The UAH Department of Athletics is excited to host the 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony on Saturday, September 21. Class of the UAH Athletics Hall of Fame, The 2024 Class, consisting of seven members, will be enshrined for their extraordinary accomplishments and contributions as a Charger.
