Biography

Dan Morrison is a sociologist of science, technology and medicine. He has written widely on topics such as empathy, care ethics, biomedical ethics, racism in medicine, interactionist social theory, and the sociology of ignorance.

Morrison is member of two research groups: one on Antiblackness within the history and practices of Abilene Christian University, and another developing a pragmatic version of interactionist theory. At UAH, he plans to continue research projects on the sociology of ignorance and the sociology of white supremacy and racism.

In addition to his classroom teaching, research, and administrative work in the department, Morrison is a host of The Annex, a sociology podcast. The Annex is hosted by the Queens Podcast Lab within the City University of New York, Queens College.
