Are you interested in having a workshop or presentation for your class or student group on campus? Our professional or student staff can come to you or present online.

Presentation Offerings

  • Start your semester strong - an introduction to creating strong habits for a successful semester. 
  • Improve your study habits - a discussion on ways to incorporate study strategies before, during, and after class. 
  • SSC information - a brief overview of the Student Success Center and our programs. These include Academic Coaching, Tutoring, PASS and our Canvas course.
  • Time management - an interactive presentation which consists of making a schedule, time blocking, and prioritization
  • Motivation & mindset - how intrinsic/extrinsic motivation along with fixed/grown mindset can impact performance.
  • Metacognition - strategies students can employ to start thinking about how they study and what they can do to change their study habits.

Workshop Offerings

  • Academic Coaching - An introduction into academic coaching in which students and coaches work together to strengthen study, time, and self-management skills.
  • Writing Styles - Participants will engage in activities designed to familiarize themselves with each style guide, including citations, bibliographies, footnotes, and endnotes.

    • Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS)
    • Modern Language Association (MLA)
