UAH Police Services

Special Event Planning

To secure the necessary traffic and crowd control measures, persons or organizations planning activities that involve campus streets or the usage of campus parking lots should notify the UAH Police at least 45 days in advance. Failure to do so may result in the event not being approved. Events will be approved on a first come/first serve basis particularly if the event requires university police officers to be present. There is a charge for officers services; an hourly rate at a three hour minimum.

Fingerprinting

The UAH Police Department provides fingerprinting services to faculty, staff and students for a fee of $15/per card. Please be sure to bring the fingerprint card(s) provided to you by your college or employer to the UAH Police Department at the Intermodal Facility at 501 John Wright Drive. For faster service it is recommended that you schedule your visit in advance by calling (256) 824-6596.

Vehicle Assist

Need a jump start? Locked your keys in your car? Vehicle Assist, offered by the UAH Police Department, is offered to anyone on the UAH campus 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If the vehicle has power locks the Officer will not be able to unlock it for you, but will be able to provide you with a number to call a lock smith if you need one. To request this service, call the UAHPD Communication Center at (256) 824-6596.

Security Escort Services

Faculty, staff, and students who feel unsure about their safety while walking on campus may request a security escort. A police officer will typically provide this service. This is for on campus locations only and is not to be misconstrued as a taxi service. It is intended for those that have a genuine concern for their personal safety. You may request a walking escort by contacting UAHPD at (256) 824-6596
