UAH to host career fair for individuals with disabilities

On Wednesday, April 20, The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Leadership Huntsville will host "The Ability Career Fair: Connecting Employers and Individuals with Disabilities." The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall of UAH's Conference Training Center and feature a keynote address from Dr. Scott Renner, Assistant Director of Accessible Electronic and Information Technology at Auburn University's Office of Accessibility. Lunch will also be provided.

"This is a great opportunity for individuals with physical disabilities to network with North Alabama employers, meet with mentors from UAH's Career Services, and learn about area resources," says Dr. John Kvach, associate professor of history at UAH and a co-organizer of the event. "At the same time, it allows regional employers to meet with and interview prospective job candidates and learn about the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce."

Registration is free and can be done online in advance or in-person at the event.
