Life-defining moments in higher education

• Realizing that how I studied in high school would not cut it in college; having feelings of fear become pride when I figured out a new approach.
• Having a professor ask what my plans were for graduate school; the power of someone seeing a path I had not yet imagined for myself.
• Becoming a stronger writer and a better thinker through critique (and not interpreting it as criticism).

While in college, I experienced

• Studying abroad (and wishing I had spent more time doing so).
• Growing as a leader through my sorority and as a resident assistant.
• Struggles with procrastination.

Interests and Hobbies

• Traveling with my husband to visit his family in Germany or explore new places; Iceland and Norway are on my list

• Figuring out what to grow in our garden now that we live in Alabama
