The opening reception will be on Saturday, July 29th, in conjunction with Opens Studio Night, from 5-7. The show runs through September 27th. Ace Lemley is a multimedia artist who primarily works with oil paints while exploring the fragility of traditionally considered feminine media: sewing and embroidery. She draws from cross-generational female oppression, and her lived experience to create the work in "Fire Becomes Her." This work illustrates her involvement with heterosexual domesticity and women's relationship with sexuality, security, autonomy, and disorder.
