The Russian Ukraine war began in February 2022. Most believed that a Russian military invasion would topple the Ukrainian government within three days. They were wrong. This short course examines why and how the Ukrainian nation responded to the invasion and how have they adapted to their new reality. It focuses on three aspects of Ukrainian success in withstanding the initial assault and resisting Russian aggression. These include the changing character of modern warfare, national resilience, and international support to the Ukrainian war effort.
