OLLI at UAH Course - Understanding Our Existence: A Survey of World Mythology

Thursday, February 1, 2024- March 7, 2024 Multiday event - 35 days

1:15 PM 2:45 PM

Wilson Hall

Offered through Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

From the time we humans first existed, we have searched for meaning. Mythology—the study of myths—has provided us with a key for understanding that existence. In other words, myths are worldviews—ways of seeing the world—and mythology is a method of comprehending what we see. In this course, attendees will discover what makes up a myth and then discuss some of the most prominent ones, perhaps learning in the end how similar they and we really are.
