Jun 17, 2021 | Mary McManus Instructors must complete QEPO certification to teach online this fall. To support faculty with this requirement, ETL is offering a virtual boot camp to get through QEPO in one week. The format of this boot camp will be organized into short (15-30 min) presentations/discussions of particular topics followed by work time to complete the deliverable for QEPO. An example topic might be the creation of an introductory video for a course. Already did that for your course last year? GREAT NEWS! Instructors can use material they developed in the previous courses to fulfill QEPO requirements. The focus of this boot camp will be on the structure of the course(s), not the content. Instructors don’t have to have everything ready for their course(s) to complete QEPO nor the boot camp. The boot camp starts on June 28th at 9 am and will run through the week. It will last no more than 6 hours a day for four days. Friday will be an optional work day. ETL's three instructional designers will be online and available every day during the boot camp. Instructors can leave and rejoin the boot camp as needed. This offering is meant to help faculty get through the process as painlessly as possible. If there is enough demand, ETL will schedule another boot camp before the fall 2021 term.
