Enhanced Teaching and Learning (ETL) invites you to a Teaching and Learning Symposium: Enhancing Teaching and Learning Opportunities through Technology, in celebration of National Distance Learning Week (NDLW).

Date: Thursday, November 8, 2018

Location: Shelby Center for Science and Technology, SST 154

Time: (Choose 1 of 2 options for attendance) (Lunch served to both groups 12–1 pm)

  • Morning Symposium: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

  • Afternoon Symposium: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm 

During this half-day symposium, participants will learn opportunities and barriers to online learning and learn how technologies, such as clickers and web-conferencing technologies, can be leveraged to engage learners, build community, and promote positive learning outcomes. Experts from across campus will share experiences, best practices, and easy to implement strategies for any course setting.


Topics may include:

  • Tools and resources to use to create an interactive video

  • Using Technology to Increase Student Success

  • Engaging Learners Synchronously With Zoom

  • Exploring Innovations in Learning Tools
