The University of Alabama in Huntsville is a community of “Volunteer Chargers” students, faculty, and staff members who give back to the campus and the Huntsville community on a weekly basis. Annually, the Office of Student Life hosts "Helping Hands of Huntsville" in the fall, co-sponsors "The Big Event" in the spring, and provides additional service learning opportunities during Homecoming Week. Service Opportunities The Office of Student Life provides UAH students numerous ways to serve the campus and the Huntsville community. These opportunities assist with the development of life skills and prepare students to become successful citizens of the world. The Office of Student Life also organizes the Alternative Fall and Spring Break trips, providing interested students the opportunity to spend their breaks giving back to a community outside of Huntsville. Information regarding upcoming volunteer opportunities and alternative break trips are shared with current students through the UAH Student Events Calendar, in the weekly Charger Student Newsletter, and on the Volunteer Chargers Service Board on the Student Life portion of my.uah.edu. To post volunteer opportunities for our Volunteer Chargers Community, please complete this form. Students will contact you if interested in the service opportunity.
