A message from the president of UAH.

Dear Faculty and Staff,

As we prepare to return to campus this fall, it is important to know that we are continuing to collect and aggregate health and safety data that will aid our planning for campus activities and operations this semester. To support this vital effort, we are depending on you to help us generate this data to make the most informed decisions we can.

To that end, I encourage all vaccinated faculty and staff who were vaccinated off-campus to take a few moments to upload a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card to the secure UAH Health Portal. Or, if you prefer, you can bring a copy of your card to the UAH Faculty & Staff Clinic in Wilson Hall. Your personal information will not be shared.

If you have not yet been vaccinated, please consider doing so as soon as possible. The data continue to show these vaccines provide strong protection against infection – especially serious complications – compared to those who are unvaccinated. While it is still possible to contract the virus while vaccinated, recent data reveal that 99% of Alabama’s COVID-related deaths from January to June occurred in unvaccinated persons.

I therefore strongly urge each of you to do your part in protecting yourself and our campus community by getting the vaccine. Appointments can be made through the UAH Health Portal.

By working together in these ways, we will continue to promote a safe and productive experience for everyone in our campus community this fall and beyond.

Thank you, and Charge On!
