Biography

Paula’s expertise in insights and marketing has enabled clients to discover and build new opportunities in high growth areas. She is expert at using behavioral science to shape better product, digital, and retail experiences, and has worked with a wide range of CPG, retail and technology companies. Payton also brings entrepreneurial skills from working in early stage businesses combined with an experimental mindset of a researcher to understanding and translating consumer pain points into innovative, scalable business models.

Paula has been teaching, guiding, and coaching students and future entrepreneurs for several years, at Columbia University, Wake Forest School of Business, NYU, Oxford University, University of Alabama, and the Lundgren Center for Retailing at the University of Arizona. She is passionate about helping founders realize their entrepreneurial goals, whether through I2c, accelerators, investment, or bootstrapping, and has extensive experience recruiting and managing boards and advisory groups to support new ventures.

Prior, Paula was Director and Chief Commercial Officer of a privately held technology company that developed “Moneyball” data capture hardware systems, analytics and software systems for digital health, professional sports, colleges and universities. Currently, she is working on an early stage FoodRx business (Snap2Save) that rewards consumers for eating healthy foods. Paula holds a doctorate in management from NEOMA Business School (Mont-Saint-Aignan, France), a master’s degree in behavioral science from University of Chicago, an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Vermont, and postgraduate diplomas in marketing strategy (Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management), and data science (Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health).
