The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Department of Music will present its third annual Double Reed Day event on Saturday, November 10 in Roberts Recital Hall on the UAH campus.

UAH Department of Music faculty Jennifer Scott Case (Oboe and English horn) would like to welcome all double reed students in grades 5-12. The day's activities are free with lunch provided and participants will receive a UAH Double Reed Day T-shirt (while supplies last). Door prizes will also be awarded at the final concert! REGISTER HERE!

We are happy to welcome Maya Stone as our guest Bassoon Instructor for Double Reed Day 2018. Dr. Stone lives in Nashville and is a member of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra.

Master repairman Brian Seaton from North American Oboehouse will be available throughout the day to work on oboes, as well as bringing oboe accessories, supplies, and instruments for trial and sale.

All students are asked to bring their instruments, reeds, and reed making tools. We are accepting volunteers to play in the All-State audition class as well as the general master class.  Please bring a copy of your All-State music to follow along in the class. You do not need to bring a music stand.

Parents are welcome to attend all events where space is available and are strongly encouraged to attend the 5 pm Double Reed Choir Concert in Roberts Recital Hall.  There will be a Question & Answer session immediately following the concert with Jen Case and Maya Stone.
