"I wish in this talk, to critically engage the audience on the relationship between an economy premised on high technological innovation, and the popular and political culture on which such an economy is built. With this background, I question whether Alabama, riding on a wave of technological innovation and entrepreneurial ingenuity, represents a rejection of the Old South in terms of integrating society and attitudes" - Dr. Sam Subbey
