Elliot possesses an undergraduate degree from Clemson and a Master’s degree from Columbia University, both in Material Sciences and Engineering. He has 11 years of experience in aerospace and automotive research and development, with a focus in metallic materials. Elliott specializes in steel alloys and transitioning new developments into production. He was the lead materials engineer for NASA Docking systems and the Nitrogen Oxygen Recharge System. In this role, he brought numerous new materials and processes into the design space for space flight hardware. Currently, Elliott supports commercial airplane and defense developments for The Boeing Company. He is a technical lead engineer in the Materials and Manufacturing Technology division. Elliott collaborates with the ASTAR consortium in Singapore as the principal investigator for metallic materials and processes for both commercial and defense projects. He has been awarded a patent in superplastic forming, and has 4 patents pending in inspection techniques of alloys and energy storage.
