Graduating senior Elizabeth Montgomery’s mixed media drawings use a range of materials including charcoal, ink, acrylic paint, spray paint, and gouache. In addition to these more traditional media, she utilizes experimental materials like bleach, embroidery, torches, yarn, and Gelli plates, on paper and fabric.
Her work investigates the natural world’s fluidity, and how it relates both literally and metaphorically to human perceptions of identity. The rough textures, fragments and interrupted imagery suggest the past, this moment, and the mysterious inevitability of the future.
Please join us for Montgomery's art exhibition closing reception, Tuesday, November 15th, from 4:30pm-6pm.
Free and open to the public.
