Urban Development in Atlanta - Alternative Fall Break Misc Wednesday, October 9, 2019- October 12, 2019 The event started -58 days agoMultiday event - 4 days Off campus Up to 15 UAH Students will be selected to take part in this service trip. Transportation (UAH Motor Pool), lodging, supplies, and a t-shirt are provided. We will prepare and cook most meals during the trip as we will have a kitchen! Atlanta, Georgia Depart: Wednesday, October 9, 6 PM Return: Saturday, October 13, by 10 PM Mandatory Trip Meetings: TBA Applications Due: September 26 Selection Made: September 27 About the Experience: As one of the largest cities in the Southeast, Atlanta, Georgia, is a thriving yet challenged city. Through this project we will work in urban development while learning about food deserts, serving in community gardens, and so much more! You will also have an afternoon to explore Downtown Atlanta by visiting the Georgia Aquarium, the Martin Luther King Jr Center, or other local attractions. Cost: Each student will be responsible for only $75 of the total cost of the trip! Some meals and the cost of sightseeing are not included.
