Amber Eckersley’s photographs are about the small details of memories writ large. The high definition large scale photographs of well-worn bake wear juxtaposed with hand crocheted blankets call to mind those times that children watch their grandmothers at work.  Similarly, photos of cut vegetable and fruit skins, arranged in the formal language of post-painterly abstraction, call to mind the feeling of helping in the family kitchen.  These beautiful photographs invite the viewer to consider and recall the sense memories at the heart of family histories.

Please join us and meet the artist at the closing reception and artist talk, Wednesday, January 30th, from 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

Gallery is open Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Free and open to the public
