The application for the 2024 - 2025 Emerging Business Leaders class is now open!

This cohort-based leadership program is for selected first-year business students.

Students will build a community with other high-achieving business students as they receive exclusive programming in leadership, career development, networking and social events. Our Emerging Business Leaders develop meaningful relationships with college leadership and learn from business leaders in the community.

Chosen business students are awarded a $500 scholarship for engagement in the program. Students will receive $250 to apply to the fall semester, and another $250 to apply to the spring semester.

FAQs

Do I need to interview for this program?

No, the selection committee will use the information provided in the application to select EBL students.

Chosen business students are awarded a $500 scholarship for engagement in the program. Students will receive $250 to apply to the fall semester, and another $250 to apply to the spring semester.

The scholarship can be applied to tuition, fee, room, and board.

Everyone who applies to the program will be notified of the selection results. Notifications will be sent to the email address provided in the application before July of the upcoming program year.

First-year freshmen students who have been admitted to UAH and plan on starting in summer or fall and who are majoring in business (accounting, analytics, economics, finance, information systems, management, marketing, general business and undecided business) are eligible to apply.

No. The scholarship is a one-time scholarship for first-year students.

Unfortunately, you need to be actively pursuing a major in business to continue in this program and receive scholarship awards.
