The Charger Career Closet provides students access to FREE professional attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews, networking events, and the workplace. Donations: Donations help the university ensure that no UAH student who is motivated to pursue an internship, co-op or career opportunity is disregarded by employers because of a lack of professional attire. Due to limited space and growing inventory, we are intentional about the types of items we accept. We are seeking donations of the following new, or clean and gently worn, professional garments. Please ensure donations are in a modern style appropriate for undergraduate students. We kindly ask that all items be clean, pressed, and on hangers. All items are free to students and you may keep the items. How many items can I take? Is there a limit? There is no limit, but we do ask that you only take what you need and to be mindful that other students may need to get items as well. I heard the closet was only for interviews. Is that true? No- you are welcome to select items for other situations such as career/internship fairs, networking events, etiquette dinners, class presentations and the workplace. I’m not sure how to put together a professional outfit. Can someone help me? Yes- a member of the office of academic assistance can assist you by appointment only. You may also reach out to the UAH Career Services office (chargerjobs@uah.edu) to seek help as well. Who is eligible to use the closet? All current UAH students and new alumni (within 6 months after graduation). When is the closet open? The Charger Career Closet is open Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm when the university is open. What is the process of using the closet? You may stop by anytime the closet is open. No appointment is needed. All we ask is that you check in- using the QR code in the closet or within the office of academic assistance. Where is the closet located? Please check in with the Advising Office in the College of Business in BAB 102.
