Biography

Rob Hamilton is a seasoned executive leader with more than two decades of distinguished service across the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and the private sector. He currently serves as Chief Growth Officer at Ignite, where he leads business development, strategic growth initiatives, and customer engagement. Ignite specializes in delivering advanced capabilities in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Modeling and Simulation, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, and support to U.S. Missiles and Space clients.

Before joining Ignite, Mr. Hamilton served as a Senior Executive (SES) with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he held leadership positions including Chief of the National Capital Region Section and Lead Executive for FBI Redstone. At FBI Headquarters, he directed major transformation initiatives, overseeing $1B+ annual budgets, managing global facilities operations, and leading the $3.0B design and buildout of FBI Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. His innovative approach to shared services, infrastructure planning, and interagency collaboration established Redstone as a model headquarters for the Intelligence Community.

Mr. Hamilton also continues to serve his nation as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, with over 25 years of military service. He is currently the Deputy A4 for 10th Air Force, where he provides leadership and oversight for logistics, sustainment, and readiness functions across the command. His career has included command and leadership positions at the squadron, group, and wing levels, as well as combat service as a Combat Systems Officer supporting global rescue operations. He also served on the Joint Staff J-7 Directorate, where he contributed to globally integrated wargaming and experimentation efforts for the Department of Defense.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (B.S. in Business Management), the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs Business School (MBA), and Harvard Business School’s General Management Program. In addition to his professional career, Mr. Hamilton is deeply engaged in the Huntsville community. He is the former Chair of the Launch Regional Partnership, served on the National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) Board and the Leadership Greater Huntsville Board, and is currently a member of the University of Alabama in Huntsville College of Business External Advisory Board. He also serves on the Service Academy Selection Board for Congressman Dale Strong.

Above all, Rob values his family. He has been married to his wife Melissa for over 20 years, and together they have four children: Robby, Tyler, Cammi, and Emme.
