Frequently, the Department of Political Science requests the assistance of part-time instructors to teach a class in Political Science or Geography.  The University of Alabama in Huntsville is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools - Commission on Colleges, which sets the following credential requirements for part-time instructors:  

Teaching Undergraduate Classes in Political Science or Geography

To teach an undergraduate class in Political Science or Geography, part-time instructors must possess a Masters or Ph.D. degree in the teaching discipline, or a Masters or Ph.D. degree in a related discipline with a concentration of 18 semester-hours of coursework in the teaching discipline.

Teaching Graduate Classes in Political Science (Public Affairs)
