Huntsville, Ala. (January  2012) - Two classic William Shakespeare plays will be performed by the national theatre company American Shakespeare Center on Tour on the campus of The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in February.

The American Shakespeare Center (ASC) troupe will perform A Midsummer Night's Dream and Winter's Tale. 
Performances will begin at 7 p.m., in the UAH University Center Exhibit Hall. Free pre-show lectures will be presented at 6 p.m., each evening by UAH faculty members.

A Midsummer Night's Dream chronicles the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and the Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta. It will be performed on Tuesday, February 14, and Wednesday, Feb. 15. The Winter's Tale, a romance with deep psychological drama, with a happy ending will be performed on Thursday, February 16. 



The Huntsville Literary Association (HLA) and the English honor society Sigma Tau Delta sponsor ASC performances. Ticket prices for
 students are $12, 
HLA members
 and seniors (65 and older) $15, and 
general admission tickets are $20.

Seating will be limited to 350 per night.
