Updated: January 2023 Today, January 25, 2023, marks the implementation date for the NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy). As such, for all applicable research, researchers will be required to submit a plan for outlining how scientific data and accompanying metadata will be managed and shared. NIH will continue to work with the community to ensure the policy achieves our shared goal of accelerating biomedical research discovery.
