Biography

John Morris joined the ISEEM department at UAH in 2026 as an assistant professor. His research blends both theory and application, focusing on the mathematics enabling advanced digital engineering. He directs the Systems Engineering Applied Research (SEARCH) Lab, which explores novel modeling constructs for complex systems. His work has provided constructs for creating digital twins that are more interoperable, flexible, and robust than traditional methods. Dr. Morris completed his doctoral studies at Clemson University in Mechanical Engineering, where he also served as the applications engineer for the PLM Center. He is a member of ASME and INCOSE.
