Biography

Dinh C. Nguyen is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA. He worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University, USA from 2022 to 2023. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Deakin University, Australia in 2021. His current research interests include federated machine learning, Internet of Things, wireless networking, and security. He has published over 50 papers (including over 25 first-authored papers) on top-tier IEEE/ACM conferences and journals such as IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, and IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, and a Lead Guest Editor of IEEE Internet of Things Magazine on the special issue of federated learning for Industrial Internet of Things. He is a technical program chair of the 6G connectivity workshop at the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) 2024 conference. He received the Best Editor Award from IEEE Open Journal of Communications Society in 2023.
