Biography

Dr. Brian Landrum teaches courses in aircraft and missile aerodynamics, and aerospace vehicle design. He also created and teaches the introductory Principles of Aeronautics and Astronautics course. His research interests include aerospace system design, unmanned aerial systems, low-speed and biologically-inspired flight, hypersonics, engineering education, and aerospace history. He has authored or co-authored more than 120 journal articles and technical papers. He has advised 5 PhD and 39 Master of Science degree graduates that are currently employed with local Huntsville, national and international government and commercial organizations. Dr. Landrum is the faculty advisor for the UAH student chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He is an associate fellow of the AIAA and a member of the AIAA Education Book Series Advisory Board. He is also a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), and the American Helicopter Society (AHS).
